The only good thing about the game is that's it's another nail in Dino's coffin. Love the team and their effort but Dino not so much. If a terrible season is what it takes to get rid of Dino so be it. Hope, is a good thing.

I thought for sure they were going to run that jump pass, Shredder was having so much success running and breaking tackles, they would have had to bite. I thought they were thinking of a play as they got closer to scoring the TD, the element of surprise was there.

That’s the beauty lost on most here. There’s only a play or two in the playbook actually in play here…or at least there should be.

I’m not so sure about that as we lose a lot on both lines next year. We have a team right now that has the players to be able to win but coaching decisions are hindering our ability to win games.

We also need to remember that none of this happens in a vacuum. All of our conference opponents except wake should be better next year. The ACC is down this year and this was an opportunity like 2018 to have a good season.

Mark Richt just said on The Huddle the delay of game was on Dino & his staff.

Gilbert should have asked Dino at the start of the drive if he was planning on going for two points after the TD. Then the staff should have told the offense at the outset of the drive that if we score a TD we are going for two. It should never have come down to a decision after the score resulting in a delay of game.

Basically this is 100% on Dino.

Agreed. Dino had his white hot “it” coach moment. But that was 3 years ago and he’s suffered a ton of damage to his resume since then
Once Dungey left and it was just Dino recruits the program went into steep decline. This is the first team full of his recruits and it hasn’t gone well.
He’s also now got a growing list of questionable & bad in-game decisions and a track record of being too loyal too long to sub par performers - devito, cav, and that HS coach in law who stayed on staff too long.

I like Dino despite all the above and I think he is close to getting us back to a bowl but even if he gets us ranked again I don’t see him getting poached by a bigger school with bigger money. Too many warts now

Solid game to put Kent at 3-3. Take out their 3 games they use to pay for their program and they would be close to bowling. i think they make it to the MAC championship

I like defensive staff and our OL coach. Maybe our new WR coach is a keeper but the rest can go. Problem is if Dino is let go then we likely lose the staff and some players. I see potential with this team and would like to see it for the next two years so would be frustrating to reset but I just don’t see Dino being better than a 7 or 8 win coach in a good year.

If Gilbert goes so might Shrader. Gilbert recruited him.

1: Never ever give them another opportunity. DONT TAKE THE PENALTY. Its a 51 yarder. We get the ball either in great shape or after the kickoff. Crazy bad decision. Maybe one of his worst ever.
2: Going for the win. Seriously a delay of game PENALTY. How does this ever happen. I dont think i have ever seen a delay of game when a team is going for 2.

He is GOD awful. Cant make a decision to save his life. Its why he stuck with Tommy when everyone watching practice new Shrader was better.

Outside of saving the buyout money there isn't any upside with this guy. He isn't loyal to SU was out the door after Erics miracle year and only stayed because the coaching cards didn’t fall his way.

Guy wears SU Hawaiian shirts. Hes gone once his buyout is less and he will leave the first Chance he gets.

SU is in a no win situation with this CAT.

If you aren't committed to a rebuild we are committed to what? Talented but not All-american players with a coach who puts us at a strategical disadvantage every game? I don't buy it takes 5 years to be good or that any staff member is irreplaceable. Wildhack won't fire him because we are cheap and because I think ADJW is as ill prepared for this as Dino is. I want to move on but understand we won't.

He does get whipped in the adjustment category every week too. Clawson and his staff took ours apart after halftime.
