This nepotism (genetic and fraternal) thing is getting exponentially more disturbing.

Kueth could tell kids today about hardships. Amazing story for him and his family. Incredible people. There is also a disturbing SI article that involves his family and some nasty stuff in Indiana when he was in HS.When he hires Kueth, i’ll stop pissing and moaning
Part of the terms of taking the job is he has to change his name to Boeheim, Happy for Dnic, solid hire, he is one of my favorites.Ran outta Boeheims I guess.
Especially since we have a current high priority recruit who extolls the family atmosphere at Syracuse and the fact that the entire coaching staff are alumni as a positive. Should have truncated your screen name after the first four letters. This nepotism (genetic and fraternal) thing is getting exponentially more disturbing.

It’s a graduate assistant position. He’s not going to be recruiting, but he will be working with players one on one. This is the equivalent of being a TA. Not sure why we are getting worked up over nepotism. Any alum would love to have their alma mater take them back.
While one could argue the merit of all of our assistants being alums, this particular move hardly makes it more disturbing. it's very common for basketball grad assistants to be alums of the school.
Good point. Most grad assistants are usually a year or two out of college and don't have nearly the experience that DNic brings. Not for nothing, he also had brief stints in the NBA, won the EuroLeague in 2016 with CSKA Moscow and had some other solid stops in Europe. Good player, helpful coaching asset - no regrets move, honestly.
Yeah I came here to post something similar. As a business owner I look at what JB is doing and it’s brilliant. His loyalty to these guys is very attractive to recruits and their families. It also is great stability for the program. Love it.Especially since we have a current high priority recruit who extolls the family atmosphere at Syracuse and the fact that the entire coaching staff are alumni as a positive.
