Depressing Stat

The only P5 team with a longer bowl drought than Syracuse (2013) is Kansas (2008). We're essentially tied with Oregon State although our game was played three days after theirs so I suppose we're technically third longest.

Time to end that!
It's been rough, you could find a lot of these kind of stats.....
...looking forward (In Dino we trust)

how many wins and how much success until we stop getting paid $300,000 plus to travel to a non P5 school like WMU? For some reason that just looks low rent for an ACC school. To ma anyway.

These are the games just with ACC teams this year where this is happening:

Georgia Tech @ USF
Miami @ Toledo
North Carolina @ ECU
NC State @ Marshall
Pitt @ UCF
Cuse @ WMU
Virginia Tech @ ODU
Wake Forest @ Tulane

So based on this list I guess you can have a 10 win team that plays for a conference title (Miami) and still play these games. That's more than half the conference playing these road G5 games. It's not a Cuse ("we") thing.

Also just looked up all of P5 just for shizz and gigs.

ACC (4 non-con games per team):
Georgia Tech @ USF
Miami @ Toledo
North Carolina @ ECU
NC State @ Marshall
Pitt @ UCF
Cuse @ WMU
Virginia Tech @ ODU
Wake Forest @ Tulane

17 total non-con road games for the entire conference.

PAC12 (3 non-con games per team):
Arizona State @ SDSU
Oregon State @ Nevada
Arizona @ Houston
Cal @ BYU
Utah @ NIU
Washington State @ Wyoming

11 total non-con road games for the entire conference.

BIG (3 non-con games per team):
Maryland @ BGSU
Indiana @ FIU

6 total non-con road games for the entire conference.

SEC (4 non-con games per team):

Not a single road G5 game. 7 total non-con road games for the entire conference.

BIG12 (3 non-con games per team):
TCU @ SMU
Baylor @ UTSA
Kansas @ CMU

5 total non-con road games for the entire conference.

Extrapolate from that what you will. It seems the ACC has the most G5 road games, but also has significantly more total non-con road games. 19 P5 schools total that have G5 road games scheduled.

All things considered, would we have been better off in what is now the American Conference?

no, we would have been better off hiring someone other than Shafer

I had a big Uconn fan in my car driving Uber. I had to verbally take her down. No tip and no 5 star rating.
