Can’t Szmyt punt? I mean, it’s kicking ..right?

When you watch the two kicks, you can tell the technique is completely different, right? You see guys double up on it from time to time but not often. I think Szmyt may already be dealing with an injury anyway.

Was he good at it in high school? After not doing it for three years I'm not sure we could expect him to be any better than a guy that was recruited to do it.

Szmyt needs to focus on his own duties. he's had a tough start to the year and is a shadow of his groza award winning self. missed pat and huge miscue on ko late in the game giving fsu ball on 35.

1. No reporter addresses the blatant hold?
2. “I have to check the tape” - this statement is such a ’in cop out! How about you answer the ’in question that was asked in how you feel they played
3. Dino’s lost his moxy and fire. He’s not the energetic outgoing guy we had 5 yrs ago
4. Reporter asked if GS is the guy moving forward!!! Ummmmm other than the first few possessions he was lights out and our best player

Complaining about officiating is a losing game.

There were some unfortunate calls and missed calls against Florida State.

You move on and prepare for the next game.

I’m on the fence with the fire Dino train but if this season goes down the gutter (again) literally anyone would be better. That said, that is way too premature and I think this team can get 6.

I can't stand Brian Kelly but go watch his press conferences and go watch Dino's, not only can he answer questions about players but he often goes into detail about actual play designs and what they are trying to do. Babers press conferences are quite frustrating to watch especially when the questions asked are usually vanilla or pathetic.

Its not his job to give great pressers, dino gives away no clues in pressers and hes smart not to do so, this is the dumbest complaint ive ever heard about a coach.

Dino would tell you but then he’d have to kill you because of FERPA, HIPPA, or a SHERPA.

Or he’d have to go all sham-wow on you and might bring Marv Albert along for pointers.

I am disgusted, I would love to see Dino go “Boeheim “ and throw some chairs around the press room. But I coached for 25 years ar the HS level, early in my coaching days I spent way too much time concerned with the refs and my team would follow suit. I believe the refs cost us the game and the coaching staff will go through the game film and know what happened in detail. But you don’t want your players focused on the officiating, it’s a dead end street.
