Dino on Packer & Durham: 8:30 Wed

Dino Babers quips when asked whether the Dome's AC will be left off vs. Louisville in season opener: "Unfortunately, I don't have that much juice to keep the thermometer up in that building. ... It's a great neutralizer to a fantastic home-field advantage that we used to have."

Babers on NSD: "Really light day for us. We've got two commits in. I'm not allowed to talk about it. They've got their social media deals they're going to do." One is Buffalo DL Kevin Jobity Jr.

Babers: "To go from what we were during the Covid thing to what we were (5-7) was extremely difficult." He thinks "we're somewhere close to that big year that we had." Knows, though, that the 2022 schedule is "no joke."

Not a ton of insight on offensive approach. Babers said a team either needs to be great at running or passing and OK at the other. Obviously, the Orange will be leaning into the ground game around Sean Tucker.

Babers on playing NC State-Clemson-Notre Dame consecutively in 2022: "There's a stretch in there where we're going against Tyson, Muhammad Ali and Smokin' Joe Frazier."

Babers goes out with another wry tongue-in-cheek response. On SU's spring game being broadcast on ACC Network: "Anything for the conference."

Man I hope the staff can pull through on a veteral DL portal addition. It's certainly on their radar.
If Dino is actively talking about it in the media I'm sure this is priority #1 in terms of additional needs. Some good young guys are coming in but a veteran anchor (in the middle) would be lovely.

As would a veteran tackle that can actually play.

Every time I watch Dino on the show, I'm reminded of part of why I was so excited when he came here-He is so freaking likeable. Sounded very confident today.

If Dino could he would practice in a cone of silence and vision.

If we can get the DL solidified we have the horses to have a top 3 defense in the ACC next year. No doubt in my mind.

Awesome depth at DB, Wow!

Ain’t no Mountain High Enough? Who are you kidding Dino, we all know it would be “We are Family”.

I don't remember Dino ever being that positive when talking about a team. Sounds very confident, which gives me hope. I do wish we see this side of Dino more.

He's probably just happy to be able to put this much faith in the coaching staff.

Having a great team working for me always made me happier at work. I was pretty clear up front that they're doing a great job if I don't have to do anything. That was the goal.

Why was he forced?
Again, ACC and Commish enforced this on all schools. I love it. Time to act like a big boy league (and in Syracuse's case, a big boy program)

If you notice Dino's response to Durham's comment on the Spring game (at the end of the interview), a bemused Dino says something like, "I'm glad we can do this for the ACC"
