Different code in that, for example, he wouldn’t allow his team intentionally trying to hurt the opposing team.
I’m not saying the guy is a choirboy but he coaches his teams to play with respect for the game and for their opponents. That’s not how a lot of coaches always choose.

The Louisville game is being replayed again right now and I just watched saw Gadsden’s TD.
He threw the ball straight up into the air. It didn’t seem terribly disrespectful by most standards but Dino seems to have a different code than a lot of other coaches.

I don’t think it’s Dinos “code”. I think it should have been 15 yd penalty. We got lucky the ref let it go.

I was watching local 5 news and they showed an excerpt from Dino's conference today and I will paraphrase question and answer.
Question: What did you think of the fan support?
Dino: They were great and a bit like the old days. I was told if we win the fans will come. Well we won, so I will be on the lookout.
Ummm really Dino? I mean yeah I get it but really? Like maybe you string some wins together and then say that. Maybe bowl back to back and then you can tell those who didn't get tickets to come back. Not sure why but that just rubbed me wrong and I am a STH. I think the fandom showed pretty well on Saturday given recent history, other costs families are dealing with, etc.

I saw that too and thought this is one game in year 7. Pretty stupid comment from Dino. He needs to win a whole lot more. The fans that were there were loud and active for the most part. Anyone there is not a fair weathered fan for sure.

Except he didn’t turn back to the QB. At least twice he set up at a 90 degree angle. Then shifted seconds later.

If he initially set up in that position, I believe he is not set until he is square to the line of scrimmage so he would not yet be in a set position.

I'm both interested and not surprised to hear Louisville was doing some chicanery that caused some flags on our offensive line. I'm sure that's been reported to the ACC officiating team and they'll be watchful of that going forward. Hopefully that's a trick they got away with one time and that's it.

Good thing he was so open that he wasn’t within 30 feet of any Louisville players. Hard to taunt someone when they’re so far away from you.

I didn’t take it that way. I’m sure he doesn’t expect 49 k to pack the Dome for Purdue . I’m sure he is saying if we continue to do this I want the crowds to grow.

And I hope he has many more opportunities to celebrate in a restrained fashion. I do believe most celebration penalties are stupid and actually hurt the games appeal to fans.
