Dino's Game 7 Press Conference | Clemson

I have followed Cuse football my entire life and this may have been one of the best HC press conferences I have ever heard. Dino seems to be putting it all together and in large measure to the patience shown by ADJW and the SU admins. What a great ambassador to the university and football program. Let’s shock the CFB this weekend!!!
What happened to Moorhead and the triple option?

I like Dabo. Hes their Paul P. By all accounts a very good person.

Anyone see Dabo’s presser???

Was……….interesting LOL

States that we beat them last season and just goes on about how good GS is and that he will be an NFL QB

Digging for it on youtube / ESPN and cannot seem to find it...

What happened to Moorhead and the triple option?
Thank you for remembering my prior posts about Syracuse football. Initially I wanted Paul Johnson to lead the Syracuse football resurgence, but in reality all I ever wanted for Syracuse to be competitive was to have a unique offense and defense that is hard for opponents to defend. We had prior success with the triple option so that was my first preference.

With Anae’s offense and White’s 335 defense, I am more than satisfied that we have unique schemes on both sides of the ball. In my opinion, we haven’t even opened up the playbook yet. I think there’s a lot of potential to use Villari as a FBP position similar to Kayteon Thompson at UVA last year. The future is certainly much brighter than Dino’s initial tenure at SU. HCDB and the ADJW should be given credit for the success they are having this year. The special teams have also been weaponized with coach Ligashesky. Syracuse has one of the best all-around staffs they have had since the Mac & P days and credit should be given to Dino for bringing in this group. As we saw from yesterday’s press conference he is outstanding in the CEO role leading Syracuse football

I think my two concerns at this point are how long Anae and White will be around. Anae doesn't appear to have interest in being HC but how long does he want to coach? I think Beck would end up succeeding Anae. Do we have anyone capable of continuing White's defense if he were to leave? I think we have a great core of coaches to deliver a consistent product on the field, but we always have to be aware of what happens if any of these coaches leave. Things happen. No one saw Brono leaving, and UVA is in the toilet now.

That is absolutely a valuable point and one of the vulnerabilities or a medium-sized private school to compete in college football. Continued funding to keep this staff together is critical to the success of Syracuse football. We need to be paying our coordinators and top assistants slightly above market value to continue this resurgence. I think paying our assistants is a great investment in the program. So much better than firing head coaches every three years and paying massive buyouts. At the large state schools most of these buyouts are donor funded, But we don’t have that option as our donor funds need to go into facilities and salaries.

These are definitely the biggest concerns but nothing lasts forever in life, we just have to enjoy and savor it while they are here. This is such a special time right now. I do think that no matter what happens, we’re entering into a new era.

That's exactly where I am. I noticed that I used to always worry about the future - who is graduating, who might transfer, who will leave as a free agent for my pro teams - that I didn't enjoy the present as much as I should have. So I've tried to just enjoy the moment as I've gotten older.

Contentment is a powerful thing, for sure.
