I think he was a little slowed early but he ended up seeing a good amount of time as the season went on. I don't think any of the four guys are overly injury pronned but with HIPAA and coaches not wanting to give up any edge (perceived or not) its clear these injuries, at least the ones to Heckel and Bear are more significant then was let on. I mean the team has had Williams near ready to play for about a month now, clearly he wasn't close. Hopefully Cisco and Melifnowu just need another week because if there our for a month + were in disastrous trouble.

About a week before Babers said Williams might return, Bailey spotted him in a walking boot. At that point I knew he was weeks away — if not longer. At this stage, I’d be surprised if he plays again this year. Heckel might be in the same position.

He’s not, but if clarke’s not 100% as well then we’re looking thin.

Reading between the lines it seems Clarke and Jonas are still dinged up or recovering.

It continues to baffle me why SU doesn't show reporters during these pressers, so that their questions are audible and their expressions visible. This deficiency could be corrected in 10 minutes ... plop a Newhouse intern next to HCDB with a cam. Done.

Sometimes injuries start to heal quickly and slow down. Sometimes there are setbacks when a guy is about ready to get back near 100%. It happens a lot in sports. It's not always the coaches being cagey or being way off on their prognoses. If they could share more information like pro teams, I think it would likely be apparent what is happening with these guys.

Williams was still in cast the week before Dino said he was about to return. It was painfully clear that wasn’t close to being true.

Don't have a problem with him being "defiant". Anyone who's watched SU knows the first team needs as much work as it can get. I had no issue with him being out there. Said it during the game, after and will double down on it now.
