Dion is getting traded...I'd put money on it
Why? Jack is a PG.
The Warriors played Curry, Thompson, and Jack last year. Cleveland should have a similarly strong 3 guard rotation.
Also possible the Cavs wanted some insurance at PG since Irving has been pretty fragile.Because when Irvin was hurt Dion played a lot of PG and did well. There are scouts who think he is better at the PG than the 2. The Cavs are not trade Irvin and Jack is not signing with a team where he is not going to get PT and Dion have value as a trade piece as the Cavs try and attract Lebron next year.
But why would Jack go there if his only chance for real minutes is if Irving gets hurt? Also possible the Cavs wanted some insurance at PG since Irving has been pretty fragile.

Because the Cavs really only have two legit guards, and they were willing to give him 4 years. He's going to play as much if not more as he did with the Warriors. But why would Jack go there if his only chance for real minutes is if Irving gets hurt?
He played a lot for Golden State this year and if there is any guard more injury prone than Irving its Curry. Plus GS is a better team on the rise with a coach who loves Jack.Because the Cavs really only have two legit guards, and they were willing to give him 4 years. He's going to play as much if not more as he did with the Warriors.

No, you need three guards and Irving is guaranteed to miss some time injured.

That's not his only chance for minutes. He'll probably be the 3rd guard and get 25-30 mpg, just like in Golden State.
No way you play 3 6-4 or under guards. Clay Thompson is 6-7 so he can play a little 3.
They drafted a defensive specialist this year at the 2. Every since they re-signed Brown as head coach there has been talk that Irving or Dion would have to be moved (probably Dion) because Brown would play two guys who were such defensive liabilities. Not all at the same time. You don't need to. Jack will sub in for both of them. There's no need to play any of them at the 3...just a 3 guard rotation.

The 2nd round pick? 2nd round picks aren't automatically in the rotation, let alone automatically even on the team. I say Dion starts and gets 30-32 mpg, and Jack gets 25 + mpg off the bench. That's what would make sense, and that would be an explosive backcourt.
Then again, Brown was trying to play Devin Ebanks at the 2 last year because he "wanted more length" out there. Never mind that he couldn't dribble, shoot beyond 15 feet, or move his feet very quick(things typically valued in a 2 guard)...he had length!
So, with Brown you never know.
It has been widely reported that Dion and Tristan Thompson are being shopped.
Yes but without names attached. Cleveland is still shopping for a big. The deal to Portland was Dion and Tristan for Aldridge. The deal didn't go through but Cleveland is still looking to make a deal for a big. How many tradable pieces do think they have? If not Dion than who?New rumors since the draft?
I believe he tweeted this before they got Jarret Jack.

And #Cavs aren't done yet. Still looking for another big either through trade or free agency
