Dion has changed

I admit it Dion did come close to knocking down a three in the first half ;)

Instead of being a freshman who won't pass to open team mates and dribbles into double teams, he's now a sophomore who won't pass to open team mates and dribbles into double teams.

Its early, I know, but still, talk is cheap.

Couldn't have said it better myself. No wonder JB doesn't play him as often.

And he thinks he was hit on the arm on the airball three in the second half. I take it back for now :noidea::cool:.

So the board's still picking on Dion yet the local boy Triche played horrendously and not a word. Oh, this board sometimes

I dont consider Triche one of the best 3 players on the team...so I dont hold him to as high a standard as some others. He's just an average Big East guard...nothing special.

No I thought they were both bad!

This is exactly right. Why does it come down to an either-or between these two?

Triche played poorly and Dion is the same me-first ballhog he was last year.

Wish they had both played well and we were debating who played better.

Dion is by far the least talented of our 5 guards. You have to have judgement to be a good basketball player and he has none. He Is very athletic but doesn't have a particularly great skill set. Trice missed his shots but they were good shots within the context of the offense. Dion just takes the ball and goes very much like he's in a pick- up game. He will never be good here

Dion had a nice assist on MCW's only basket (I think he only scored once).

Dion was a freshman last year. Brandon is a third year player who passes the look test. All I know is this, when the lights come one the kid shines. Where was BT in the NCAA tournament when the game was on the line? Sitting on the bench next to JB. BT can’t wrap his head around being a shooting guard. Bees don’t let your hate for the Dion cloud your judgment.

What did I post that was incorrect? Not a thing. And where was BT when the game was on the line you ask? On the bench hurt if you remember. But facts be damn. And there is only 1 year between the 2.

Trice is much better then Dion last year proved it and this year it will be even mire obvious. You can win with Brandon you won't with Dion

Brandon got hurt in the first half of the tourney last yr...

He wasn't even close on the J.

The only shot he took that wasn't a millimeter from going in was tipped.

Triche didn't shoot well, but he followed his shots and looked to be shooting a softer shot, I thought that was encouraging. Just as players can play poorly in games and everyone gets worked up about it, players will play well and everyone will get worked up about it (see Southerland, 2009). It was an exhibition. Things won't end up as they seem on one night after 10 practices.

But is not a PG. When he plays point, the offense comes to stop. Needs to play exclusively at the 2G where is scoring skills can be fully utilized.

The one that killed me was the play right after Cooney hit the 3 in the 1st half. Dion has the ball, semi-break, Cooney flares to the left side to set up for a 3, and Dion dribbles into 3 guys and turns it over. I could see the thought bubble above his head: "If this guys hits 3's, it will take away my playing time. Screw that."

ummmm, back spasms actually

c-fab pf-xmas sf-joseph sg-waiters pg-scoop
and your head is where...based on last night...neither had a good game...Triche takes shots within the team flow and concept...Waiters plays as if he is the one man on the team...and 'Cuse is not built that way to play...dion will not start...in fact; MCW is going to take some of his and Triche's minutes.

Dion is not the least talented...he may be the most...unfortunately, his head is screwed on wrong...and therefore, he is unable to play over time up to his potential

i absolutely love that you are saying "facts be damned' - you who keeps telling us what a great shooter triche is - the guy with a 33% three point percentage.

Facts be damned.

you are a national treasure.

Nice try sparky.

i realize this was just an exhibition game but i really wasn't expecting to see the patented marques haynes dribble and slide around on your knees at the top o the key move from dion. might wanna lose that.

I predict that Dion won't last the season. He likely transfers by January
