He struggled along with everybody not named Kris in the first half. In the second half he was patient and unselfish & had a few nice dishes before his solo 9 point run turned the game around. Last season it would have been different, he would never have gotten those assists because he would have shot instead & if he doesn't finish, Jimmy yanks him.

One of the most positive developments this season has been Dion playing unselfishly. The best part about it is that he's moving the ball quickly, and not forcing shots. Nor is he gunning, because he is comfortable that he'll eventually get his looks.

Missed a shot or two in the first half, but didn't force. Second half was an entirely different story--he was killer.

And unlike last year there is no question that he will pass the ball to BT when he is open. They are playing well together if anything Scoop is the odd man out.

Good point. Last year, there were clearly evident chemistry issues with our backcourt--especially during that disastrous mid-season stretch where we played poorly.

Glad to see that this doesn't appear to be the case this season. Frankly, our "best" tandem of guards seems to be Dion / Triche, for whatever reason. They seem to play better when they're on the court together.

one of the best part of this game was watching Waiters and Triche play and pass to each other...numerous assts for each to the other...last year, Waiters would not pass to Triche...this year his psyche is such that he does realize he looks better being a team player...this is going to be a good year for Waiters and Triche

Yup. Dion hits Triche and is all smiles. His attitude is totally different. Last year he was worried about whether to wear the red or pink shoes. This year he is playing complete basketball. He's an absolute star in the making.

Brandon and Dion have to be the backcourt in hlfcourt grinders like that game.

Also, when Brandon gets a good pass for a setup shot; he is absolutely deadly. Our half-court offense is a work in progress. 1st half was all 1-on-1, very poor quality shots. Second half, led by Dion, a lot of passes for quality shots and our Pct went up accordingly.

I've thought they have looked good together all year. They feed off each other. The 2nd half they led the comeback and extended it to a comfortable lead. Even though KJo played very well, Triche and Dion led it IMO. In the 2nd half Triche had 13 pts 5 assts while Dion had 11 pts 4 assts. I will take those stats by both in a full game but it came in 1/2 the game.

Seems like Triche and Waiters are teammates this year. And they work well together. Triche is best when set. And Dion is finding him. Dion has def matured.
