May have missed something, if I am repeating something I apologize. There was an article concerning 8 football players changing numbers.

It said Julian Wigham is switching to number 1.

With no mention of Broyld changing numbers.

Sooooo, where's Broyld? Did I miss something?

I think you can have multiple players with the same number, as long as they aren't on the field at the same time. As long as Wigham doesn't switch to offense, they should be fine.

We have two #1's, two #2's, two #3's, two #4's, two #5's, two #6's, two #7's, two #10's and two #13's.

Kids dig the single digits.

huh, never noticed that before.

I do actually know that rule about offense and defense. Not sure why it didn't cross my mind. So never mind yall!!!

Quick question on the multiple number thing... Does that meean if two players with the same number can't play on special teams at the same time? That seems like a potential headache juggling that for coaches...

It's the 2nd worst rule (to conference championship regulations).

I had a player I coached go to St. John Fisher a few years back and on their pre-season roster (before kids quit and before they decided who would be on the JV team) there were SIX players each for every number 1-49. I had never seen so many kids listed on a "roster" before. Seems like the SID would have waited until the mass exodus of kids halfway through the first week of practice before typing up the roster.

Not to pick on you, but you never noticed that Hunt and Kirkland both wear #10?

I don't pay close attention to numbers.
It's definitely something I should have noticed earlier. Just distracted.
