Do the rules say you have to use a tee for kick-offs? One of our best weapons is Riley Dixon's foot. It seems to me that he can put it high enough to trap the receiving team in a short corner. It also gives a couple of more seconds to get to the ball carrier. Forget the through the end zone stuff. That automatically places them on the twenty-five which could be another two first downs.

How do you kick off without a tee? The ball won't stand up. You can't pull a "P" for "K" in real football.

According to NCAA rules, the kickoff must be made on the "restraining line". the only exception is for a kick after a safety which can be made on or behind the restraining line. While it doesn't specify the use of a tee, I can't see how you don't risk a penalty if you kick off any other way. The ball must be on the restraining line.

Just stand there and kick it. Just like practice.
I think you are suggesting we punt instead of kick-off. It's not allowed. Maybe you can drop-kick it, but that isn't a good idea, imo.

I like this idea

I believe you are right. Still feel as though this punter can get some serious air under the ball. It just makes no sense to kick it long.

Yes you can free kick just like what most teams do after giving up a safety

Fournette won't return punts anyway. He did some kickoffs last year, and Miles said he may use him again in that role, but only if the game is on the line.

No,but it's harder to launch the ball off the deck with these big drivers

From the NCAA rule book "free kick"
Also, touchbacks on free kicks (kickoffs and punts after a safety) will be moved to the 25-yard line instead of the 20. Touchbacks on all other plays will remain at the 20-yard line. According to the Football Rules Committee, this change is meant to encourage more touchbacks from the receiving team.
