You are probably right. I never said play m2m exclusively or even for a long periods of time. My point was simply to wake the team out of a funk and make them more intense and into the play some pressure/m2m for a few minutes to middle court then go back to the zone in half court. The players get more involved in the game IMHO. Simply as a wake up tool.I'm guessing that's what was meant. With that being the case I agree that the press is a great tool to employ if it looks like it's getting out of hand late. But this gets more difficult with JB not going too deep on the bench at all.
Although I will say that playing pressure in the zone always usually leaves a man wide open in full court.
We play the zone too well not to use it 100%, but in a game like tonight, I thought the players were not into the game and something should have been changed.
Sure SU won and that is great. All teams have an off day here and there-so try it for a few minutes.
