I see. Thanks. I had trouble following his syntax.
However, it is still a moot argument, as Butler beat us and, given AO's injury, would've beaten us later on the tournament. It's the old "if the bear hadn't stopped to take a shite, he wouldn't have been shot" logic.
I agree about too much rest and sitting around would not help this team. JB also agrees with us, based on what he said in the press conference right after the UCONN game.
Take care and thanks for clarifying. Go Cuse!
How could it be a moot point? If we had been placed in our rightful spot as the 3rd #1 seed, we would have been where Duke was, which COULD(not guaranteed) have put us in a better position to win with easier teams to beat.
In addition, we nearly beat Butler in that game. It wasn't like they dominated the game. To say they would have beaten us in the Championship is not guaranteed. The entire circumstance would have been different. Again, they won a close fought battle the first time. They were not a team that could dominate us. Maybe a few shots don't fall in another circumstance in a different arena. MAYBE they would have lost earlier in the Tourney due to different matchups...
Again, this is all speculation, but to say we WOULD have lost is ignoring the change in circumstances...
