The two most popular draft events are for the NFL and theNBA MLB is quickly catching up. My problem with these events is the time between picks and the pace. Considering the massive technology these wealthy teams the manner of keeping track of the available players and their recored talent level should make the process far easier to make decisions as to the next pick is concerned. There is no question that after the first three picks become an interminable boring waste of time listening to the panel covering the draft too many turn off the tv and when that happens the commercials don't get seen. It shouldn't even be necessary for some overrated idiot slow poke his way up to the podium and call out the name. Drama? I don't think so. I don't need to see some kid getting excited about becoming a millionaire very soon or his parents who realize some of that $ will come their way and confirm that grooming their childi in a particular sport they have some connection.
