Class of 2020 DT Tre Williams (CT) Portal to Michigan

Now that we are a player again. these are the type of recruits we stay on and land them. This kid could be a gem only being a freshman.

By the time 2020 comes and it's Tre's time to decide, SU will be able to recruit with ANYONE in the country. PSU will be able to get pretty much what they want until then. SU needs players like this to dominate...good to great DT's and OL are the ones that put a team to the next level, the highest level and with this offensive system and a good to great DL...Clemson, FSU and Louisville with have nothing on SU.

He has blown up since SU offered him last year.
Offers from RU, Buffalo, Pitt, UConn, FAU, Texas A&M, Baylor, PSU, VT, UVA, BC, Michigan, Ohio St, Iowa, Florida, SJSU, Clemson, Morehouse, UNC, Tenn, Nebraska, Georgia, Alabama, UMD, Arizona, Syracuse

Hope we are on his short list.

We have a good shot with Caz being his new coach. Don’t know first hand, but I think they have 1 or 2 old su guys coaching there. Hope we can get him.

Clemson has lost its fifth scholarship player to the transfer portal. Graduate defensive lineman Tre Williams entered the portal on Wednesday, taking advantage of the graduate eligibility window, which remains open despite the general portal deadline closing last Saturday.

Clemson Tigers defensive lineman Tre Williams has entered the NCAA Transfer Portal, according to On3’s Pete Nakos.

A native of Windsor, CT Williams played high school football at St. Johns, Washington, DC, where he was a four-star prospect. He was the No. 107 overall recruit in the 2020 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

Over the course of his five seasons with the Tigers, Williams has amassed 37 total tackles and 4.0 sacks. Wherever he ends up in 2025, he’ll be hoping to shatter his previous numbers, and blossom into the player he’s always seemed destined to become.

I would suspect that having snagged the elder Thomas from Marshall yesterday, we don’t have any other DT spots available unless there is another departure at that position.

Pure speculation on my end of course
