It’s a stupid rule (the goofy restricted semi-circle).

Make it simple.

Offensive player can dive in the crease but the goal is disallowed if he touches the crease before the ball crosses the goal line.

If goalies don’t step toward the diver and get hit no goal (and penalty on the offense).

Or just ban it altogether
