The program has been a shell of itself for more than a decade. There are actually some of the best times since that golden era. Tend to think it’s highly unlikely that we become a regular Final 4 participant. Too much parity now in the sport to set high expectations. Making the tournament now is s more reasonable expectation.

Hope I'm eating my words in May.. but today showed me everything I feared about this team - lack of leadership (coach and player) and lack discipline and determination - really lack of HHH - leading to disastrous results.

How many double teams did we run directly into ? How many GBs were we out hustled on ? How many passes were thrown away or jammed into bad spaces? - did we consider at some point how to address the clear Malever issue before it was too late ?

Gait is proving to be what he is ...a great past player with a ton of talent around him..but as a coach ?

It's pretty lacrosse when it's working.. but Final Four ? Not sure about that..Maybe ...but most likely the quarters ..and that's also a maybe ...

Please prove me wrong.

every acc tournament winner has made the playoffs. only occasionally has it been the difference between getting in, but often even 1 win raises the seed/path and ergo some help for going deep or even winning. it's as important as every other non-one-bid league except if you live in ann arbor.

Gaits a good guy but hard to review the results at this point in year 4 and feel like this is working.

Extremely disappointed in this team. Couldn’t help but think Hiltz shouldn’t have been out there. He couldn’t even carry the ball. I understand the thought process, but feels like a mistake. Though Fin at attack made sense.

Couldn’t disagree more. Just making the tournament is a losers mentality. Our expectation should always be the final 4. Isn’t gonna happen every year but that should be the goal.

Just realize something that was said during the hopkins/maryland game believe was coach zim who said it. Don’t know the exact quote or what he said word for word. But the focal point of it was “can have all the talent n get pretty far but without the hustle also won’t win the game. Need both talent n hustle. “ N that rings true for orange. Loads of talent n just not enough hustle. Can’t just be good or skilled also gotta play hard n go hard everytime.

Also then wonder why unc is having the year they are with such a young team. Then realize younger players seem to play with lots more hustle n heart then their heads as haven’t had the experience yet. Watching them they all seem to hustle specially their freshman. Yet our seniors or upperclassman still jog to run out balls. Or half ass getting back on D. Also when a call is made even if terrible call standing there n crying bout it instead just running off or getting ready to start play specially with fast restarts is just old. If call is made bad or good don’t try to debate it just drop ball n get back on D or get off for D guy asap.

Last thing wanna say is dwan needs to up his game. Not sure what his deal is but he has not been great. Seems to just play lazy today. For someone who seems like aggressive dpole n lays hits when covering his guy is to hands off. Sometimes whole defense is. Why arnt we constantly on guys hands throwing checks pokeing trying to obstruct their passing n catching? Where are the captains or leaders when things going off rails getting in players faces to be better? where is the leadership ? Spallina himself needs to be better at times. Takes to many poor shots at terrible times. Also please stop with the btb shot you are 0-13 for that shot lately. Every team every player every fan knows it’s coming. They’re not fooled.

Such high hopes for this team but they really are not helping themslves. Had all the cards in their own hands and just had to play well n win. But they just can’t get out of their own way. Really hope this team kicks into 5th gear from here on out. Cause not winning the final game n acc tounry your setting urself up for a very very very tough road, which leads to failure. Didn’t like how ended at denver game n wanted to change that n opportunity to do so arose 2x n fell flat. Someone has to start kicking guys into gear or something. Cause the lacrosse been playing last two games won’t even get you to acc chip let alone ncaa tounry. Just be better ! Let’s go orange now or never!

Syracuse has needed a dodging threat that can both score and facilitate The last player who even comes close to that was Spallina and he was recruited by Desko. Once again the inability to make in game adjustments by coaches or players is just flat out obvious
