He was pretty good in the 4th. Offense had some good looks and he thwarted a potential Cuse run.

Extremely disappointed in this team. Couldn’t help but think Hiltz shouldn’t have been out there. He couldn’t even carry the ball. I understand the thought process, but feels like a mistake. Though Fin at attack made sense.

seems like we played handicapped on offense, Hiltz couldn't have been 50 percent. We had one less guy on O. Play a guy who’s healthy and give him a chance.

We had a pretty good Jamieson ourselves. We also have a Jameson (“Jake” Meyer) coming next year. Today’s loss coupled with WLax & football’s portal woes may have me dipping into the Jamo tonight.

you can add in the horrible years in men's and women's basketball to our list of recent woes for reasons to partake, although I am encouraged by the men's basketball portal additions and keeping JJ and Freeman.

Gaits a good guy but hard to review the results at this point in year 4 and feel like this is working.

If anyone watched the Ohio St/Michigan game today compare the intensity/hustle/level of play both teams there had vs. the lack of all 3 Syracuse displayed the last 2 games. Day and night.

I’m not putting this on the coaches at all. Duke was more intense and physical than our guys and Leo and Anderson (two best dodgers) were flat out bad. At a certain age, the coaches can’t make you do it. The kids have to want to get after it.

Think the problem starts with upperclassman. When they’re not hustling n showing how it’s done can trickle down. As stated has to start with spallina , rhoa , leo n etc. To many times have witness leo n rhoa just trotting back on D when fast break. Least hottle n mccarthy get back n play D. Intensity has to start with captains or upperclassman. They have to set the tone. When a poor unforced turnover on simple pass is done heads drop n the effort right after is low. Honestly think gait needs to run this team more at practice. Cause if not gonna hustle in game then make them hustle at practice.

Just seems like they go out thinking their syracuse n that is enough to scare other team. Someone has to start it. Hate to give ND or even kav any credit but kav starts it for his team. He starts going all out n laying out for plays n his team seems to follow n respond. Who is that catalyst for us? Just seem they’re out to playing like it’s just another day not taking it serious or like they already did their job. Just lack of heart n hustle can’t be said enough. Well now their backs gonna be against the wall n it’s all their own doing.

Yeah I don’t have faith unfortunately I have seen a lot of championship level teams and players over the last almost 40 years of following SU lacrosse and nothing about this team this year makes me feel like there all of a sudden going to turn things around. I would LOVE to be wrong. Maybe someone should show Leo the post game presser from after the Denver game from last year how they weren’t going to forget and things would be different.

Good question. I’d guess next year he might be told it’s Championship Weekend or bust. Feels like that should be the bare minimum expectation given the Spallina recruiting class. Would love for it to happen this season but that feels unlikely.

Curious if Jeremy or others have insight on how long his leash might be

A dismal performance by the coaches and most of the players. To come out this flat and to commit turnovers over turnovers in a game of this magnitude is hard to explain. Little offensive and defensive coaching and adjustments by March and Odierno. Really pathetic. Where is the head, heart and hustle?

I have been a huge Gait supporter, but this performance as well as the general inability to play a full 60 minutes, makes me entertain the question.
