We are a legit contender now...beating freaking Duke at home in front of a sellout does nothing for me-as far as believing how legit we are-Yet I will be legit ecstatic when we win...i guess you are right tho bc if we lose we are legit no longer a contender.
Having a legit chance to make the Tenn game quite interesting in the 4th given our untimely TOs proved to me that we can legit play with anyone.
That 4th qtr of the Uconn game proved we could legit win while playing terribly for 45 minutes.
Our Def was legit against Clemson.
Collins came in and legit did what we needed him to do to win legitimately.
Our coaches are legit.
Our talent is legit.
Collins is legit good enough for us to remain legit.
We are just 2 legit to quit.

We're not legit until we do it every week. We've taken a step and we have opportunity, but questions remain. Was last week an anomaly or the new norm? Was last week's defense who we are now or did we just get up for a big game? How much of the offense was Angeli? Can Rickie step in without missing a beat? Do we rely more on the run game? Does the oline hold up and do we have the RB depth (how banged up is Willis) if we have to shift that way?

This week should go a long way to answering some of those questions.

If we take care of the next 4, I'll feel good about saying we're legit.

Dukes injury report. Looks like they have starting LB out and one or two their backups. Their defense is already a mess but running their 3rd string true frosh LBs up against Willis is ideal for us.

And I just keep waiting for injuries to pile up from a road trip to Clemson but outside of QB1 which was noncontact I just don’t see them. Just Duce and McDonald and that was from earlier.

Yes it probably is, we have allowed a lot of yards in the air. But, Joey Aguilar showed out against Georgia as well. And UConn and Clemson are much more reliant on passing than rushing. I felt in both of those games, our secondary got bent, but didn’t break. Our secondary overall has felt like it’s getting better each week.

Klubnick passed 60 times, IIRC. That was a first for him. He had to to try to catch up. The basically abandoned the run mid-way third quarter.

Man it is crazy how far we have come in 2 years. Just the level of players, athletes we have and get. 5 star receiver in the fold. QB play the last 2 years has been great and passing has been leading the country. 3-1 going into a sold out home game vs Duke. After whooping Clemson’s butt IN Death Valley. With a chance to go 4-1 into next weeks game vs a struggling SMU team before the bye. If you told me this 2 years ago, I’d say you are bat crazy. Sign me up with Fran and Jeff Nixon into any game and I feel like we have a shot. No matter who we have playing against anybody.
