Unreal. Rich get richer... This is what we have to compete with. Not much difference between them and UK at the moment.
We're going to have to recruit at a very high level to compete with Duke.
Can almost say the same with Louisville.
I don't know how much of a bad thing this is for us other than it makes Duke better next year. It's likely one less option for Murray at least this year.
But if OAD it may effect Battle/Murray next year.

I don't know Jordo... We want to compete with the best of the best of the ACC. Will our veterans be up to the task next year? We are 2-5 against UNC, UVA and Duke the first two go arounds in ACC. I want to beat these schools, just not sure we have the firepower to do so yet.

I'm pretty sure they will since K has a gaping hole at SF.Duke has an in-home with Brandon Ingram today as well, lets see if they go 2/2.
Uh, their class is ranked higher than SU's. Not trying to knock our class, just stating the facts.
Yeah, depends. It's close. But they're clearly one of our biggest competitors.Cusefan0307 said:Well not according to the mothership... http://www.syracuse.com/orangebaske...cruiting_rankings_for_201.html#incart_m-rpt-1
FixedWell, according to the mothership...
Thornton might consider himself OAD regardless of what happens during the regular season. If he gets any indication from the NBA or scouts that he has lottery potential, he could very well be similar to McCullough that he's OAD come hell or highwater.I'm not getting how this is a bad thing for us...
a) Thornton is a PG and Battle has made it clear he is going to be a PG.
b) Battle will be committing by this summer. If Thornton is OAD that won't be apparent until next Feb-March at the earliest. Why would he commit to Duke knowing there's a chance Thornton will be there playing point?
