Duke Kickoff: 12:30 RSN [YES in NYS]

That’s not it for me.

I haven’t missed an SU game ever. Live in NE Ohio. Cut the cord years ago. Estimate I’ve saved $5,000 to $6,000 over that time.

Doubt I’ll need to switch away from YouTubeTV. The loss off the Fox RSNs isn’t a YTTV thing. It’s a Sinclair Broadcasting thing.

Cutting the cord, for me, was and is all about extending the family budget with zero loss of my key sports viewing outlets.

Pretty much same with me. I have one service package that's Disney +, Hulu, ESPN + for $15 a month. The rest I use a Rasberry Pi with Kodi and use add-ons, also have a friend in the cable business who I am able to get an account with for apps on Roku and or fire stick. I don't miss much...lol

I think I’ll do a Hulu trial for the Duke game and then pause the trial. Re-using it as needed. I trust that RSNs will be back to YTTV before MLB restarts next Spring. If not, we’ll re-evaluate then.
Actually, the FoxSportsGO app is still providing me access to RSN content using my YouTubeTV credentials. I’ll try that first. ;)

Me too, someone nicely on this board suggested it last week and it worked like a charm. TY.

Scary thing is we are competing for tv spots with 70% of cfb actually playing, wth.

Cuse might end up favored in this one. A must win.

Agree 100% thank god we had the bye week to really focus on Duke they may be 0 - 4 but they have played a pretty tough schedule so far and are very hungry for a win if we get the (W ) saturday that will be a step in the right direction.

Duke will give us fits with the Big WRs

Do we get the team that turns it over or the one that doesnt. Stoll they went on the road and gave ND a game.. Best thing is they are on 5 weeks and we got the bye.

Do we play better in the running game.. If so the passing game will improve. 2 weeks off has to help take another step.

Duke turns the ball over but they are a decent offensive team when they are not turning it over. They showed that last night. We can't just rely on takeaways. It would be nice to get at least 400 yards of offense ourselves.

Looks like this game doesn’t get on tv here in NY or am I missing something?

Their TE's (Gray) are tough.

Yup he looks like their most reliable offensive threat. Big target.
They're spreading it around to Bobo, Garner, Pancol and Calhoon. But Gray's getting targeted twice as much as any WR. I'm sure he'll pop out to the staff on film - be interesting to see how they defend him.

Official affiliate list isn't out yet.

Expecting YES Network.

YES website schedule only goes up to Thursday.

For the GT game, in CNY anyway, Spectrum showed the game on one of the ESPN extra channels. So if you are in CNY, get the sports package, and Spectrum is consistent (not a given), even if the game is not shown on YES, you will probably be able to watch without streaming.

If YES does not televise the game because they are showing the Yankees, and you are in CNY, are a Spectrum customer with the sports package, check out the ESPN extra channels. I believe the GT game was shown on 392.

Ive had Hulu for 2 years. I’ve seen every game and it gives you access to every single app and game possible. I’ve never missed anything BC I have Hulu where friends I have I know have missed games BC of cable

YES doesn't show post-season baseball (TBS and FOX have all the rights).

YES does do a pregame and postgame show. However, the ALDS is scheduled for Oct 5-9, and the Yankees are playing at either 7 or 8 PM.

The YES website schedule only extends as far as Thursday.

The Spectrum program guide (which is never accurate this far out) shows College Football on YES at 4 PM (note that last week's RSN game with FSU was scheduled for 4 PM).

I am assuming that YES is in play for the game.

They seem to like to schedule the OOC stinker games at 4 PM, and I am thinking that will happen here. But wouldn't there be a conflict if the SU game does have a 4 PM kickoff and the Yankee game starts at 7 PM?

How long are the pregame shows? 30 minutes? 1 hour? Are they longer for the playoffs?
Would they show a game when they know up front they can only get to the start of the 2nd half before they have to cut away?

Duke has already been assigned a 12:30 kickoff.

And the ALDS runs Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thurs (if necessary) and Fri (if necessary). No Saturday game.

I know everyone loves to "CUT THE CORD" but I gotta be honest it seems like a big headache trying to figure out what channels are actually there on each platform. As much as Spectrum or Verizon or DirecTV aren't perfect, at least I know the channel lineup is there.

Get this one you don't get MTV or VH1. Get that one and you just lost your RSN's. It seems like a big headache. I would rather just pay for cable, know I can probably save a few bucks if I did the cut the cord game, but at least have the peace of mind of knowing what channels I have and what I get is always there.
Part of the reason I got rid of DirecTv was the contract disputes with networks (cost and constant weak signal being the main reasons). We were without some network affiliates (ABC, CBS & Fox) for a while and barely avoided losing ESPN. That hasn't yet been the case with Hulu yet, although I expect they will eventually have the same issues. I had to use free previews with YTTV and Fubo to watch a couple Thursday night NFL games. The best thing about streaming, imo, is no contracts. I had to wait until my DTV contract expired to cancel without penalty. I also like that there is competition amongst streaming services. We don't have any cable options where I live, only Comcast, whose service blows. I still have to deal with them for internet, unfortunately.
I foresee an ongoing song and dance with all of the tv options from now on.

YES is showing the game at 12:30. Live and in color.

According to the guide currently, YES isn’t showing that this game is on at the 12:30 slot
