If he goes to Miami, swap that scenario for the Duke defense giving him some extra love when they play this year. And well deserved.

Duke quarterback Darian Mensah has entered the Transfer Portal, but there are still quite a few legal roadblocks on his path to Miami.

Mensah cannot enroll in Miami. Players must enroll - even if only a sham enrollment - to play for a school. At present, Mensah cannot play for anyone other than Duke.

I suspect it gets resolved within a couple weeks. Duke is upset, but knows Mensah does not want to be in Durham,* they probably realize he will be more of a loss on the team than off the team. Miami will move some money and make the transfer happen.

Nobody wants the nuts and bolts of the sham system revealed. It remains too much of a messy wild wild west show than a true system.
