Obviously he threw the ball really well yesterday. Put some deep balls right on the money, great throw into the end zone to make it 24-7, hit a number of short and intermediate routes right in stride.

That was him at his best, accuracy wise.

But I’m not sure I ever remember him hanging in the pocket as long as he did many times yesterday, allowing covered WR’s to break open and hitting them. Even at his best, he’s often bailed before that point and tried making a play with his legs.

I thought yesterday was the best he’s ever looked as far as when to hang in the pocket and when to take off.

He took a few sacks, but overall the benefits of him staying in there and finding receivers far outweighed that.

Also, props to the OLine for giving him the time to do this.

And to add to that he had sharper play fakes last night. His TD run had an incredible fake.

Definitely looked like Dungey of the past. His problem this year is he is giving one read and trying to escape pocket. Even with no pressure. He still had is issue escaping the pocket early but he was better with it. I remember one play he had all the time in the world to wait in pocket. And instead of staying he ran outside the pocket and the DE was able to get pressure because he escaped to early. Forcing a throw away. He needs to continue to improve on that but he was better at times last night. I think all the head shot he had taken that he doesn't like feeling like a sitting duck in the pocket. However he needs to trust his OLine.
