This whole QB controversy thing will do nothing but motivate him. We’ve been watching this dude for going on 4 years now. How the hell does everybody not know this? I LOVE Devito and could not be more excited to have him now and the next few years but I’m still amazed how quick people jump off on great players. One of our greatest QB’s ever to play here and fans and local media talk about him like he is Nate Peterman or Blake Bortles.

My only point is sometimes things change. I am willing to give Babers the benefit of the doubt i guess. It's his job. But jumping to the healthy and/or hot guy is not unique to this situation regardless of how much the other guy has done for you in the past.

I don’t think anyone has questioned Dungey’s motivation, desire to succeed, or his ability. We all love him and think he’s a great college QB.

The concern is if he is physically right, right now.

If he is healthy, he deserves the chance to play. And should be allowed to throw the ball.

I'm with Dcuse. I re-watched the first half and first drive of the second half. He's making all the throws. Accuracy is an issue but it's always been an issue. He likes tough spots. Just look at his play against FSU and Clemson. I think he's going to answer the doubters. He's streaky. He's always been streaky.

Yup, he will channel his inner underdog mode from hs in Oregon when tim Lester was the only coach that saw him as a D1 qb , more than just a track athlete at 180#.

Look if he wasn’t hurt u would be 100% correct. Just a quick question as u know more about ball than I do, why hasn’t he been motivated so far if that is all it took. Jack u know he has to be hurt and if u compared last NCST game and to last week it’s not even close. At every level, the better QB's are the accurate ones. I love Dungey, but he's never been, nor will he ever be accurate enough to be great. To truly run this offense at peak efficiency, accuracy is critical. I believe that there are packages where Dungey can come in and be successful. I also think he's given enough to this program to start him on Saturday. He just needs to be on a shorter leash. If he's doing the job, great! If he isn't, don't wait until the 4th quarter to replace him.

For his own sake & the health of our program, Babers KNOWS he has to get this team into a bowl game THIS year. He's in an obvious pickle, because he has to have Dungey on a short leash. And that's ok. Put Dungey out there, and allow him to be reckless. He's very good when he's reckless and playing with an edge. Play to his strengths, not his weaknesses. If it's obvious that he's not being effective, then bring in DeVito for a bit. I think you can play both at times. Pulling Dungey & NOT winning would create locker room tension. So Dino has to be smart about this & he knows it.
