Dungey still injured?

Its natural for people to assume someone’s fatigued when they perform so uncharacteristically. His accuracy, velocity and decision making were off. He was panicking in the pocket. Im glad he’s seemed to recalibrate

I've had frozen shoulder. PT, time and patience is what it took to feel better.

Awesome. I just got diagnosed with it today. Looking forward to the next x number of months of therapy and stuff...

I get such a kick out of these guys that demand to know your sources...like it's their right. They can choose to believe it or not. Anyone who has been here long enough knows the posters who have some "insight" and those that don't. Thanks for sharing.
Who's asking for sources? I know Bees has insight and sources but like everyone else here, some statements he makes are facts and others are beliefs based on observations. I'm not sure what the barriers are to saying which it is.

What I do know is that I tend to stiffen up before... never mind...

He has been injured. I wont share my source but it is solid. I dont know the extent of it and cant explain the drastic improvement against NCS but he has been hurt.
Here's the thing: Injuries heal. I realize some may find it astonishing. And, the younger you are, the faster you heal. He looked pretty well over whatever was bothering him last Saturday. Time to move on.

It had nothing to do with you. It was Sudano who questioned Bees because he was unwilling to reveal how he knew some things. None of anyone's business, either believe it or not, it's a free world.

I agree with you. But as Dino says, "the proof is in the pudding," i.e. we will find out Saturday. I also agree with your Truck Fump!

The pervasive thread through nearly everyone's laments were that Dungey was injured and thus incapable of playing well.

Win against NC State...nothing. I don't see anyone saying this anymore.

What happened? Miraculous recovery? Did he take one of those vodka-collagen recovery baths? Did Syracuse hire a voodoo witch-doctor who is now on staff?

Somebody. Throw me a bone here.

It was a convenient excuse when ED was going bad. he may have been dinged up and took some shots early like most qbs do. His decline in his play was in his head aa dino discussed saying he became too comfortable with owning the starting job and THAT makes all the sense in the world instead of the phantom soft tissue injuries THAT were reported by armchair docs making diagnoses from hits ED took in game.

Amazing just how fast he heals when the current injured shoulder throws the ball with better timing and conviction.

always seemed imo like an albatross. worked when he needed it hurt when he failed.

Do the exercise they give you to do at home...even when you feel dumb standing in a corner, facing the wall. ;)

Make all the faces you want and skip B is appropriate here bc he, himself is pretty much clueless when it comes to detailed sports knowledge. Think about it fellas, ED had rough week mentally, a week in which he was humbled, had to rediscover his confidence, and go out and grab the teams confidence AGAIN! He did it, as Dino said, he got comfy, complacent with the starting gig.

So, he throws the ball with conviction and confidence on sat night. Zipped the ball when he had to, touch at other times. No arm problems. if you think this performance was enhanced at all bc his arm/shoulder "healed " in tbe middle of the season then you don't know much about sports medicine or sports in general. qbs dont heal in season injuries while taking reps all week and never missing a game he got his mind right and that found his arm again.

That isn’t turf burn. Cupping for treatment.

Whoa! Good find!
He has been injured. Anyone even closely associated with the team knows. All of our opponents know. Its common knowledge. The extent is nir common knowledge. Based on him lighting up NCS he is either doing a better job playing through it and or getting better.

Nah. I read here it's all in his head.

He is hurt. To what extent and exactly what it is i'm not sure. It certainly showed in the Florida State game. Weather its a shoulder or elbow i'm not sure but i would guess its a shoulder. I remember sitting in the stands in the Florida State game and wondering to myself if Dungey was going to be out for the remainder of the season. Not sure how nobody seems to bring up this moment. I don't even remember anybody mentioning it after the game either as everyone was more worried he had a concussion later in the game. Found some video of it. Check out 3:25 - 5:10 and 7:10 - 8:00.

Absolutely love this kid leading our team and want him in there. As long as his arm looks good and he can play efficiently we play him. But during the UNC game I was yelling at the TV for Babers to put in Devito because his arm wasn't right. Good decision by Babers. He will play Dungey until a point where he feels his injury is hurting his game too much. Simple as that. He's played the QB situation great.

I was wondering if he might have gotten a cortisone shot in the shoulder Pre game?

You are 100% wrong.

Well, he certainly made all the throws, didn't he?
Maybe part of the pain was from bad mechanics on those attempts.
I remember in the WMU game, he winced a couple times, and it seemed like Babers helped him adjust his throwing motion.
I was impressed as hell at his game. He seems healthy now.
