Dwight Freeney

that is an amazing recruiting tool

thanks for sharing the video. it shows how hard work is required in addition to natural talent.

Freeney has been coming back to Syracuse every year since he graduated to workout with Hicks. Freeney is arguably one of the best defensive players in the last 25 years in the NFL...we should be begging him to help out more with the program, along with McNabb and Bullock and others.

These must be the records

Those are def the records yea. You gotta admit guys...our weight room facility is nice as hell.

This video is great, both for Syracuse fans and sports fans in general. I'm going to try and get it out there and give it some run with fellow alumni.

I guess that answers the question of fastest player on the team:

Shamarko Thomas 4.27

When are we getting a big donation from Freeney?
And I would hope that the folks recruiting is using something like this to lure kids here.

Here's what I got:

vertical jump

looks like if you pause between 13 and 14 minutes you can make out the bench #s and reps. I didn't feel like writing them down. Shamarko appears to be first on all of the skill group tests.

Questions:

1) Does anyone want to "Fire Will Hicks" now?

2) Is there anything lacking in that weight room that other schools have, other than carpeting and a nice chandelier?

3) Should Freeney be switiching from defensive end to outside linebacker at this stage of his career. It seems like an odd move.

4) Do any other SU legends of the past come back here to work out? It could be a good recruiting tool.

I'm sure Kirbivore still does.

The issue with the weight room isn't the equipment, it's the size. Most weight rooms are much more spread out. While the facility is phenominal and looks great when 1 person's in there, it's much more difficult to get work done quickly when there are 90 people in there.

I was confused about them switching him to LB as well. Thought that was beyond biZarre and quite the head scratcher.

Here's a better look at the records:

Also, Macky with the highest clean and squat numbers on the team.

But yeah, he sucks.

Are there ever 90 people in there at the same time? Don't they have a schedule?

Only when John Syracuse is bench pressing a Volkswagen. You have to see it to believe it.

Can't tell if he's the worst center in all of college football, or the worst center in the history of college football.
