What does it take to get in early these days?
Clemson has 15 early enrollees this year, dang that is a lot.
What is Syracuse expecting? 4?

Isn't Naes coming back? If so he would "fall" into this category would he not? As far as where his scholarship gets reallocated
HS kids need to complete all graduation requirements at their school. Not sure how it works in each state, but I think it's unlikely for NY kids to do so because of Regents?
NY has January Regents exams so NY recruits could graduate HS in January. It also helps when schools have the block/semestering schedule that has students take core classes for 20 weeks, 80+ min a day vs. 40 weeks, 40 minutes a day. Even with these considerations it would be the end of January, so I am not sure how that would work if the college semester started in mid-January. I can't imagine colleges letting kids come in two weeks after the semester has started.
I remember taking the Course III regents in January because I failed it at the end of the previous school year.HS kids need to complete all graduation requirements at their school. Not sure how it works in each state, but I think it's unlikely for NY kids to do so because of Regents?
I knew a few kids when I was in high school that graduated early. I had enough credits to do it half way through my senior year. I don't think it's too hard if you plan ahead and give up study halls to get classes out of the way. Most (maybe all, not completely sure and too lazy to look it up) of the Regents tests are done by junior year.HS kids need to complete all graduation requirements at their school. regents aren't required to graduate
Not if another diploma is available (I thought NY went to all kids getting regents a while ago, but that could've changed 3 times since then). Not all states do regents so as long as the kid graduates with required classes and good enough grades, they're good.Wouldn't they be needed to meet NCAA eligibility standards?

Oh, you want to know how I did? Well, I passed.
With a 66/100.
You don't know the half of it.That explains a lot !
A Regents Diploma carries very little weight outside of NYS. It's just one of the ways that the Board of Regents justifies their existence.Wouldn't they be needed to meet NCAA eligibility standards?
They are now. There is no longer such thing as a Regents Diploma and a Local Diploma. Only exception is with special education students. That's one of the problems with the education system in NY and throughout the U.S. When I was in school you could go to BOCES or another technical program to learn a trade and not worry about taking all of the Regents level courses. Now the technical programs have been cut down and you still have to be taking Regents courses.regents aren't required to graduate

I see that this was changed 2 years ago.. my kids are in HS and didnt have a clue this had changed..They are now. There is no longer such thing as a Regents Diploma and a Local Diploma. Going back to your point though and the conversation. Most high school seniors have already taken all of the necessary Regents courses by the time they are seniors.
NY is the only state to have them and I believe it matters "slightly" only to SUNY schools like little brother over in Buffalo.Wouldn't they be needed to meet NCAA eligibility standards?
That check came to me directly at Oswego...came around mid-semester when my beer money was running low. $125 each semester.Hey my Dad appreciated that little bit of scholarship money each semester.
