East West Shrine Bowl: Jan 30, 8 PM

Shaddeur doesn't seem too bad, after seeing that interview. But, I still think Kyle is more suited to be an NFL starting QB.

Have we given up on this game? I think Meeks will get another catch or two!!!

I can never shed my ORANGE colored glasses, but I think the play of the game was Meeks catch coming back to help the QB and jump and pull in a catch while being hit. The commentary was that the QB put it where only the receiver can catch it, but that is BS. If Jackson doesn't climb the ladder to grab that, it's picked EASILY!!!

Yeah I didn't like that commentator either, fortunately a few moments later another commentator, a voice of reason, commented that Meeks made a great play.

I imagine NFL teams aren't swayed by the commentating. Us fans are, myself included. But they're probably not.

Yeah, the NFL guys saw them all week. All of our guys improved their draft stock immensely. I'm glad that Meeks played, because he showed out in his limited playing time. These guys are showing that D.A.R.T. stands for something and playing for Fran Brown takes you up a couple notches.

Accept an invitation to play, get hosted and coached by the bowl organization for a week, and then not play in the game; is this the next step in CF?
Once these guys relinquish their college eligibility, it is all about the draft. I think these games understand that. It's nothing personal. Anyone that cares about these young men, understand the choices they have to make.

Yeah, i do not understand either. Seems like an insult to the entity that invited you. Maybe that they weren't going to play was understood before hand.?

I turned off the game early, but I’ve got a question for those who watched more. We’re there any other college coaches on the sidelines or just Deion?

The practices are generally considered more important than the actual game in these all star events. The coaches can put the players through drills that the NFL wants to see the players be able to do. There's tons of analysis just on the practices if you google it. So it's disappointing for fans who were looking forward to the game, but not totally shocking

Wht didn't Mc Cord play last night in the Shrine...announcers said he's not playing, but have no reason

Announcers said he was not playing , he was slated to start, but they never gave the reason

All-Star type bowl games are a whole other level of meaningless than regular bowl games.

Kyle & OGII achieved what they wanted this week during practices.
With nearly zero injury risk.

Truly minimal upside to playing, with massive downside:
Injury, and/or just having a bad game,
either of which would undo all the positive momentum they achieved this week.

I’m sure their respective agents have heard from multiple NFL front offices that they have seen all they need to see, and it would be in their best interests to sit this one out.

Thanks 144% to all of our guys who are reaching for the brass ring -
We hope all of you achieve your dreams and crush it on Sundays in the League.

LFGO!!!!

Generally when that happens in a game like this, teams that are very serious on drafting them have asked them not to play.

The work for this game is put in with the meetings and the practices and the drills.

McCord and others that didn’t play were probably asked by NFL teams not to play
