I imagine NFL teams aren't swayed by the commentating. Us fans are, myself included. But they're probably not.

I imagine the scouts and others are watching game film and maybe some of the tv angles. But I am sure they do not give one flying frack about what the commentators had to say, and I'd be surprised if they watch any of the live feed it has the sound on.

I've been praying for SU to get a physical, gritty, possession receiver like Meeks since I started understanding football (watching and being to young to understand). I'm really grateful for the year he spent here. It was so nice to finally see that come to fruition.

Health I am sure. Not getting hurt before the draft. Likely was told all he needed to hear during practices.

I was told by someone at the game that would know, that Kyle was planning on playing...right up until he was given a specific reason not to. Take that as you will. I'm not an insider, I just happened to be in the right place at the right time to meet some very nice people.

Also, the whole game Kyle and Oronde were side by side wherever they went on the sidelines. I thought it was pretty cool and showed the bond they must have made this season.

We tried to get autographs but only one side of the stadium was open, which wasn't the East's side. After the game, many of the West players tossed personal items to the fans. Maybe two East players came over. At one point however, Oronde came out of the tunnel and walked 2/3rds of the way over with a football. I tried to get his attention in our Orange gear, but he tossed the ball up into the stands an aisle away. Regardless, we still had fun and my son wants to go to more games, so it's a win overall.

Generally when that happens in a game like this, teams that are very serious on drafting them have asked them not to play.

The work for this game is put in with the meetings and the practices and the drills.

Teams can say anything i.e, "we're going to draft you if you're available..." but it means nothing. A lot can happen between now and draft day. Players opting out probably did so based on decisions with their respective camps and feedback they were getting from teams. I don’t think they sat because teams specifically asked them to sit out. I think it's more of a collective decision by their camps based on the way they think they performed in practices, drills and what they were hearing from teams.

If you get a handful of teams with good feed back you can start to feel better.

Practices went well. not sure how the game would help him. Blocking was bad on many plays.

I think Kyle has some strong indications of how high he's going and wisely didn't play. I expect to see him go in the 2nd round at worst. I think same with OG who is the first of our guys off the board.

I watched the first half of the game and neither quarterback actually wowed the crowd.
Each had interceptions and fumbles. I believe there were 6 or 7 turnovers in the first half.

And the teams made no sense. Pittsburgh was on the West Team. North Dakota State was on the East
Team. I think the RB star on the East Team was from New Mexico and Arizona.

So does Coach Nunzio get some credit for Kyles improvement? If so, another nice selling point to use on the recruiting trail.

I wonder why in the broadcast they didn't talk to people who opted out when they are high profile guys who had great weeks of practice.

It's like college basketball players going to the pre-Draft Camp. There is a similar process. You practice, you do interviews, you get measured, you do drills.

If you show enough to get a guarantee from a team, you often see them shut it down. Not any different.

That's the thing about the NFL draft, when there is a shortage of quality players at a certain position teams start to panic when the list gets shorter and draft earlier than they anticipated because of need.

Curious how the free agent market is for QB's as well. If that's low then Kyle is sitting in the cat bird seat.
