Is he kind of one of those Abdul Carter hybrid LB/pass rush kind of guys?

Mmmm I’d say Johnson is more of a linebacker than Carter. Johnson can definitely rush the passer and get in the backfield though. Between Tremble, Johnson, David O, and possibly the UNLV D-End we should have a pretty good pass rush. I wouldn’t count out either Nyandoro or Nissi either. Then Rodgers and Wilson were recruited as Pass Rushers. Both obviously HEAVILY recruited and really good recruits for us. So anything they give us this year will be a bonus. They both are likely a year away from any major contributions but I think they’ll both see playing time this year and likely won’t redshirt. I bet they both add 20 pounds before the first game

Good relationship with Fran. So if Fran really wants him we’ll probably get him. He’ll be in the rotation at backer. But Johnson, AD, Bryant, D'Appolonia and Tremble will be your main backers next year most likely. Wouldn’t be surprised if Tremble and David O are used more as stand up rushers like a Chandler Jones though
