Once it is expanded to 8, then there will be calls for 12, 16, etc... It won't ever stop. I like that the CFB world differentiates itself from so many other sports is that the regular season is of paramount importance.

If UGA, OK, OSU etc... would have won their games then they would have been in the CFB. Period.

Also, anyone who watched the UCF game yesterday and believe they belong in the playoff is wacko.

Go to 8 with the best 8 teams period. Conference championships are not created equal. The Pac 12 does not deserve a seat at the table.

get what you are saying and your argument is solid. Bottom line is 4 will never work long term. Gonna make the B10 stay home 2 years in a row, the team with the best roster behind Bama. OSU stays home and ND is idle with a pass.

The obvious answer is 8 teams, 5 conference winners, 2 at large, 1 G5. First 4 games on campus and then the bowls for the semis and champ. Its perfect. Takes care of all arguments and preserves the importance of the CFB regular season , which is the best and most sig in sports .
