The Qb is 100% and they aren’t playing Clemson, at UNC, and at playoff contender FSU or at 13 Clemson, 18 ND, at 22 Pitt, and 11 FSU.

Playing at UNLV, at a depleated NCSt, and at Pitt. Not the same thing.

He's not an exceptional field goal kicker by any means. But he's not awful.

he is awful. I dont even expect XP to go thru he mis hits so many. He can kickoff well though.

I see more positives with HCFB and he trusts his players to play. The fourth down call without hesitation shows he has confidence in his team. I haven't seen reckless mistakes, rather more discipline.

Though I am not content with the rushing game, I a very happy the O-Line is protecting McCord (mostly), a luxury we haven't seen is some time.

HCFB is not afraid of making changes. He switched kickers, he allows plays that let the kids do what they do best rather than forcing kids to fit a system.

I think he has a hard row to hoe but he will hoe it. Just this fan's opinion.

You literally said “I’m trying to keep the mindset of this is a throwaway year”. I get there’s a difference between mindset and reality, but what fun is that as fans? Vegas o/u was set at 7.5 for a reason

Hiring Brown was never about his head coaching experience, but about his recruiting ability and he has delivered. McCord will be the best QB that Syracuse will have in the last 10 years and maybe the next 10 years, but his Syracuse stats will attract other good QBs to Syracuse which is a major win. You really can't get many good OL from the portal, you have to develop them which is why there is a problem right now as it takes time, but you have to make sure you have the right OL coach and OC.

Unfortunately, this year's schedule will turn out to be tougher than everyone initially thought as UNLV is a surprise (and the game is at UNLV), UConn is now playing well, VT/Pitt/BC are not pushovers, and Miami is really good this year with Cam Ward.
