And just to be clear, I have turned off the email notification in the "Preferences" section and am still receiving them.

Try now. I changed one setting. And I agree, this is an annoying feature. I am working on making no email notification as the default. I have a feeling that the "news feed" feature is part of the problem.

ok. I've got the answer, but I'll wait ten minutes. Just in case I am sleeping by then ...

Click on your name, and then preferences. Uncheck the "receive email notification."

Automatically watch threads that you create or when you reply...

• and receive email notifications of replies

Or is this what you already did?

If I can have my way, the email thing will be disabled entirely.
