People are freaking out over this team. First of all, we're FOUR games into the regular season. This isn't football, this is basketball, there are 31 regular season games. Five potential ACC Tournament games, and seven potential NCAA Tournament games. Secondly, we only have ONE ball handler, and he's a freshman. You can't expect things to go smoothly all the time when you're relying one inexperienced person so heavily. This team will win a lot of games, and make the NCAA Tournament. Let the young players, specifically Ennis and Roberson, learn and gain experience, because next season we gain a second ball handler and gain SU's best recruit since Carmelo.

Whether we go 40-0 or 25-12 I'm going to cheer for this team just as hard. I don't think this team has the "it" factor we've had for the past 5 or so years but it's still better than the squads we brought out before or string of recent success. I think this team has some real potential to have success in the tourney this year but I still don't think we're as good as we were last year, even if people play up to their talents. As long as these guys play their ass off they have my support, no matter what our record is. I try not to be critical about these kids but I still love debating my opinions with everybody on here.

just pointing out that we havent played well doesnt translate into freaking out.

i see more posters defending and making excuses for this teams play than i see anyone actually freaking out. I think I have only seen Igor freaking out.

I'm with you two3zone - its going to be fun watching this team develop through the season.

I think a lot of the "freak out" posts were because of all the talk pre-season of how great this team is going to be with starting freshmen that will wow us. As fans, sure, we should get excited, but some more realistic expectations should be considered should we not blow out teams and play exceptional basketball. When I watch this team I'm seeing (I think?) how JB is trying out different things and where the players have improved now they have 'their shot' on the court. I think things will get ironed out and we'll be a damn good team. We have some smart BB players out there and a pretty good coach.

Anywho, there's my 2 cents. :)
