***Updated below***
Through 11 games, Ennis is having a remarkable freshman season and is leading the point of an undefeated team. His incredibly-high bball IQ for someone his age is impressive, and he has nerves of steel. Nothing seems to faze him and he tends to make a big play when one is needed. He's been great in clutch time and has knocked down some huge FT's in some of our closest games to help seal the win. Would be great to have him for 4 years, but that isn't likely to happen as NBA scouts are starting to take a very close look at his game. If he were to stay 4 years, he would shatter many records.
Enough with the intangibles and onto his stat sheet (all stats /game):
12.1 points
5.4 assists
2.8 steals
3.3 rebounds
1.2 turnovers
4.53 ast/TO ratio (59 assists/13 TO's) - amazing
43.5% from 3
74% from the line
He ranks 3rd in the country in ast/TO ratio, 10th in steals and 40th or so in assists.
It will be fun to watch him come ACC play and against Villanova next Saturday, as they always have solid guard play. If he can keep improving, we have a legit shot to have another deep run. He's definitely one of the top PG's in the country already. People are starting to notice, too.
