Erv on crutches..

Should we do a group E-card for Erv?

I really don't want to have to do too many of those...

Seems plausible that after rest and then trying to go full speed it maybe was tweaked more. Just a thought. I would have bet the house he would play. Guess its not ruled out yet but still
Ok no more of that talk.

Let's wait and see how serious it is.

That sucks. He's key to the offense as he showed last week. I know we love the next man up mantra, but if that man was as good as Erv he'd be playing as much. Offense takes a small step back. Hope it's no more than this week.

Prime reason why he could never be an every down back.

Football is a violent, stupid sport. Basically it's a game of attrition with a dash of skill thrown in.

These things tend to turn into lingering injuries with us.

Hope not.

I agree with you. It's just that football really is about next man up. And the coaches have no other choice but to follow that mantra, especially when some people see anything else as making excuses.

Hey has anyone seen Wake's injury report? Was curious to see if any of their key guys are hurting. Clawson is mentally injured but besides that...

And I was wondering about Rhody's injury report. Was Rhody banged up, or did they somehow escape injury while losing 47-0?

Good point, but Erv doesn't have the body to take a pounding.

Hopefully this is his last injury for some time.

I really think Erv was injured on the screen pass that went to the house, and he was never touched.

If he ends up out of the line up, next man up!

Seemed to suffer the injury on the TD reception, and it wasn't clear to me exactly where the injury happened. He was limping as he left the end zone to return to the sideline. I'm just glad Fredericks wasn't injured on his first carry which went for 31 yards. He was slow to get up after landing on the ball, but it turned out to be nothing.
I think the replay showed Fredericks just landed on the ball and it knocked the wind out of him.

Sorta like Hunt's injury. Wasn't touched.

Now I'm questioning the new turf.
