Stephen A coming out STRONGLY in support of Boeheim. Says he had every right to initially
defend Bernie. Very good to see. Says anyone should stand by a friend if they had no knowledge.
Skip Bayless says he should be punished somehow for his immediate "inappropriate" comments.
Says he went too far. Stephen A then says, yeah, but at the time Boeheim said this, not all of the facts that we know now were known. Boeheim had a right to defend his friend based on what he knew at that time. Nice to see something decent from ESPN.

I think a lot of these ESPN guys, who are critical of JB's comments (Bayless), are doing so from the the perspective of being aware of the audio tape. They forget that JB in all likelihood had no knowledge of the tape.

I think you are right on this point. It's not generally being discussed that the tape was not given to SU when they did their investigation in 2005. It's a game changer no doubt, but only now that ESPN decided to air it in 2011.
