Do I see the hidden hand of ESPN letting conferences know they are not renegotiating contracts that are in place based on additional members? As the Pac 12 concluded why dilute the current members income. The net result is that the Big East is truly flucked as the best result was the collapse of the B12 and a merger. All for $$$$$. Sad. Welcome to the NFL Lite.

The way I see it, ESPN has about six networks or so. If the PAC ends up with 16 teams, they will find a way to broadcast all 8 games. I think it's just a bluff.

I read somewhere that the SEC television contract had an out clause based on membership. Not sure about the ACC though. You'd damn well better believe these contracts will have that clause going forward though.

the ACC-ESPN contract specifically provides for re-negotiation when new members are added, as Swofford stated when announcing the additions on Sunday...

that contract would not have been signed, in the first place, without it...

everyone saw, or should have seen, the coming changes...
