Everyone needs to let Wildhack know

I mean I love Babers. And he’s absolutely the right guy for the program. But he’s 8-11 and if the thought is now is when he can hold the BOT hostage, I think he’s miscalculated.

In any organization there is angling for more... money, power, control, resources, etc. In this case no one is offering any specifics, just vague allusions. So I’ll venture 80% of it is the latter of what you asked.

Is it wrong to be proactive? What we saw yesterday was as good of a sign as you are going to see that Dino is a great fit for Syracuse.

We will never be able to recruit at the level of a Clemson. But the formula to beat them is good talent + a packed loud house + Dino’s offense. That formula has the ability to beat a top 5 team and make Syracuse relevant again.

Don’t wait until it’s too late. Give him whatever he wants and put the investment into this program.

No way. Dungey can’t recruit.

Dino is recruiting on those locker room videos when we win. And every time Dino speaks he is speaking to a) parents with how he runs his program (see: reference to going to class), and b) kids by the system he plays.

I get it...Dungey just turned in an epic performance wth his arm and leg which backs up multiple other epic performances. But Babers is WAY WAY more important than Dungey.

Is this your list for what you think Dino needs, is this just a generic list of things any coach would want, or do you have a source that says Dino is actually requesting such things (don't need to reveal your source, just if you do or don't)?

A raise - ok, who wouldnt want one.
A larger recruiting budget - this has already been expanded (more staff, private jet) but i get that given our lack of a regional base, travel is at a premium for both visitors and staff.
A bigger budget for staff - yup.
Commitment to better facilities - this is where i need some specifics. Dino loves playing inside. How is the Dome a problem for him? The field turf is modern. What's the issue from a coaching standpoint. I've been to Tiger Stadium and Beaver Stadium - they are big erector sets. The IPF is new and modern. The weight room is pretty standard for a Power 5 school. Player housing seems fine. We've heard nutrition is lacking. What about training/physio?
 
Dino joked this morning on SportsCenter that after the famous VaTech speech last year he got a new locker room out of it because people saw how lousy it was.

SU has made commitments on many fronts and there are plans to do more. People need to reign in their freak out. Our AD is a very effective advocate for the program.

Breaking news: John already knew this.

Turn your energies to the fans/student that don't go to games against Pitt and do go to Clemson to come each game.

And take a note who the AD was hosting last night and hope his guest doesn't steal the coach like the organization has before.

I saw John with Pegula too. At first from a distance I thought it was Syverud but then realized it was Pegula. Dino has steadfastly said he has no interest in the NFL as he loves working with college kids and making a difference in their lives.

Maybe we're trying to hit up Pegula for some $$$$? :)

Was just throwing a little shade for a Syracuse College Board member stealing a Syracuse coach. Dino is not an NFL coach.

As far as the Pegulas...check the pay side.
 
When one of the big power goes for a coach, Dino will be at the very top of the list. So, that is 6+ million. In the short term it is more important to secure the coaching staff than to renovate the Dome. Push the Dome reno back a bit and use some of that money for Dino and his staff.

If he’s not leveraging this win for more of what he needs, he’s not the coach for us. Secondly, I’d bet Wildhack will do the same with the BoT.

It’s exactly the right thing to do. As is writing and donating to show our support.
 
I thought we paid Dino market to come to Syracuse. As I have said ad nauseum, he’s compensated. If they want to round the edges w more cash for assistants sure but let’s see how the season ends. U guys are hyperbolic. If the board was around in 1995, coach p would have been paid 10mm per year for getting mcnabb and then crushing clemson in the gator bowl

If Dino has interest in being elsewhere we will know very shortly bc he will be in demand. I hope wildhack is prepared but please don’t lose perspective here
