Jim Nantz (granted a Houston alum) with a straight face said yesterday on WFAN that Houston to the Big East is a great thing for the conference. They will rule football and take the BCS bid most years as they would be the top team along with WV. That they bring the 4th largest TV market in the country, and basketball wise they have 5 final four trips in their history more than Syracuse and Pitt.

That Houston alone if they join the Big East will keep the Big East's BCS bowl standing since Houston will end the season unbeaten this year, near the Top 10 in football and be (get this one...) a borderline at large BCS Bowl invite team!! And with Houston in the mix that EVERY (yes EVERY) network will be fighting over the Big East because of what they bring to the table.
