I just rewatched the GT game for whatever reason, and its Drew Allen clearly outplayed Hunt. Lots of drops, but was able to move the ball

That could fit well into my trick play offense where every play is trickier than the one before it.

The hook and lateral is conventional in my offense.

Against 2nd and 3rd string D, sort of like Hunt against Northwestern. Frankly I don't know what to think anymore. By no means am I giving up on this year, but am also looking forward to a Hunt, Kimble, Long, Wilson, and Edouard battle next camp. Someone will step up.

Why is it depressing?

Who gives a sh** who performs as long as SOMEONE performs. If it's Allen, sweet, good for him. If it's Hunt, awesome. But to say it's depressing if Allen plays is absurd. Have you watched Hunt in ACC play? It's been worse than watching Human Centipede on a 24 hour loop.

Do you even watch college football? How can you even write off a QB before he touches foot on campus ... there are freshman QBs that make a splash and have success ... see O'Korn ... see Manziel ... it is not out of the realm of possibilities.
