Let's say he doesn't come back this season and SU loses in the tournament. How high would his would draft stock be i'm assuming it would drop a little bit where he may fall to the second round. JB already said he thinks he has only reached 30% of his potential so if he would stay he could possibly move up to a lottery pick next year. I think missing this year would set him straight for next year if he comes back not to slack off.

Why in the world would his stock drop or would he want to deal with the NCAA another year?

If this is an acedemic issue, then it would make since to just jump ship and hit the NBA... Why do another year of college if you hate it? Not saying thats the case, but you gotta take that into consideration

But is he a lock for the first round? Nobody knows what the academic issue is if he could take it more serious next year he could be a lottery pick

I would put the chances of him returning in any scenario around 2%.

what do your feelings tell you?

I'm just saying, if he is having academic issues now (and like you said, we dont know what they are) does he want to risk having more issues next year? Missing more time? Stock dropping farther? If he does come back next year, the athletic department needs to be on that kid like flies on . Idk if its addressed, but these kids all have tutors right? In high school our coach would check with our teachers every friday. Anything like that go on at SU? It has to right?

I just love how us Cuse fans just love to push guys out the door, when they have a shot at the NBA, just find it amusing

I think the reward is greater then the risk and I think he wants to end on a high note look at his tweet the other day. I mean haven't other players who have been suspended for academics come back and got it together. It all depends on what the problem is and nobody knows, I think there's a good chance he comes back.

Do you really love it or are you just being sarcastic? Also, your use of comma's is terrible.

If it depends on what the problem is and nobody knows, how do you thinkl there is a good chance he'll be back?

Yo i have dreams of a Fab, DC2, RAK frontcourt.
I'mnot sure how that would happen as Fab and DC2 both play the 5 and Rak plays the 4 ... for sure Rak is no a good enough shooter for the 3 and DC2 is too big for the 4 (weight-wise) ... now I see DC2 backing Fab up with Rak at the 4 backed up by JS and CJ at the 3 backed up by Jerami ... better go back to sleep.

Under the new standards highly recruited bigs start, even if not quite ready. So DC2 must start. It would just be for a few minutes until the first mistake. But that back line would be huge, Fab, DC2, and Rak, starting out. If they can't cover they get pulled.

BMK might be asked to redshirt in this instance. Just so many bigs.

Says the poster who uses the apostrophe incorrectly.

Seriously, if JB is right and Fan has only tapped 30% of his potential, then he is gone. NBA drafts on potential, ESPECIALLY when drafting bigs. If JB is right, the scouts will see the potential and he'll go early enough to make it worth his while to leave.

Ironically, JB probably made that statement as reason why Melo should stay. There is no question that Melo will get drafted, too much potential there not to. Skill-wise...a work in progress.

IMO, whether he stays or goes to the NBA will depend primarily on if he can be convinced (and he comprehends) that he might be a lottery pick with more development. I am not saying he can or can not be a lottery pick, only that HE needs to believe he could be.
