FanDuel sets win total for Cuse at 6.5...

6.5 feels right to me and I'll consider it progress if we're bowl eligible again. I get that we're excited about the influx of talent, but HCFB has never run a team before, we don't know how well the guys will pick up new systems, and the oline hasn't really been addressed by the talent influx, at least not yet. Growing pains would not be surprising.

Fudge it ill put a Hundo on 10+ wins. Is there a sports book near Erie? Ill be there next week

As somebody who doesn’t understand online gambling, I have these questions:

Am I correct that if I live in NY, I can’t bet on NY teams?

While visiting another state, can I bet on SU? Or am I not allowed to do so as a NY resident?

I will answer it this way. I live in Mass. I can't bet on Mass colleges in Mass. But if I drive to Ct., I can.

Cool, thanks.

I’ll be in Virginia tomorrow. Might put some $ on SU.

Unfortunately, the casinos in Biloxi, MS did not offer such betting options when I was there last month (opening weekend of March Madnes). :(

I agree with most of the thoughts here that our wins total should be in the over category, especially with adding McCord. Hopefully he stays healthy. An injured QB has been our achilleas heal for how many seasons straight? OK one season was mostly because of a decimated OL.

On the flip side of us bringing in more talented classes we are still middle'ish of the pack in rankings. And its just one season of better recruiting. How much of an impact will that have year one? Also it seems the conference as a whole recruited a little better this year than normal as well.
The one season of better recruiting concept doesn’t hold up in the portal era; we bought in better players from the 2020-2023 classes. In effect, we have upgraded our last 1-4 recruiting classes this off season.

That’s incorrect, if you are in a state that allows your wager you can place that wager.
Yup. I've been in NJ Saturday mornings, put bets for a Cuse, drove into Cuse by midday, place bets on Rutgers.

I want to bet 10k on the over. I am scared of one thing and you nailed it. Now, he won't run like we have had QB's do in the past but that is the one thing holding me up

I can say that while they weren't facing the full defensive front line, the O line did a very good job at pass protection, and opened some holes.

LaQuint Allen had a breakaway run up the middle, and Yasin Willis looks like a grown ass man already. He has an NFL body and will be very hard to bring down. He and Marlow Wax had a big hit at the end of one of his runs, and both came up smiling at each other.

The second unit Offense was not good, though. Moelo and Kalin Ellis were poor. Travion Mack didn't play well, either, and that was against the 2nd unit defense.

Neither back up QB was impressive, although Del Rio can run, and he can make some passes. But he has happy feet in the pocket, takes off too soon instead of stepping up in the pocket and having a quick look to see if anyone is open before he just tucks the ball and runs.

yup you need to get an account in the state you want to make the bet.

That isn’t correct.

It’s all pulled by your GPS location,

As long as you’re in a state that allows online gambling you can bet on it.

I know a bunch of people in the southern tier area that drive across the border to a gas station or whatever across the line and place bets on NYS teams.

As soon as you go into a different state you have to abide by that states laws.

Thats not entirely true either.

You cant go to Florida and bet DK and they allow gambling. You can't go to Vegas and bet DK.

It also doesn't use GPS unless you are on a cell phone. If you are using a laptop it uses Wi-Fi. It won't even worked on a wired ethernet device so my PC at home I can't even make a bet with.

Because those states didn't give gaming licenses to DK. Has nothing to do with your location on your phone.

I worked at FanDuel for three years. You need to be physically in-state and betting through a licensed operator. Licenses are awarded by state gaming boards. There isn't a single operator in every jurisdiction (state) that allows sports betting. Some operators are in most, but not all.

I'll add that the politics around getting a state on board with sports betting and who gets a license to operate are insane.
