Favorite Songs Of The 1970's

The Clash, from one of my favorite albums, Give 'Em Enough Rope.

[song: Tommy Gun]

Epic tune, co-written by Patti Smith and Bruce Springsteen

[song: Because the Night]

Well, I knew this was gonna be a marathon, not a sprint. 23 letters still left in my alpha review. One of the most heartbreaking and gorgeous voices I've ever heard belonged to Sandy Denny. She and Richard Thompson first surfaced in the seminal British folk/rock band Fairport Convention. Denny undertook a solo career which, while relatively commercially unsuccessful, was chock-full of great songs.

Love her on -
[song: The Battle of Evermore]

Well, judging by tee's list you guys have posted a lot of good songs already. The 70s had a large quantity of quality music, probably more than the 80s, with some truly great songs. Here's some of my favorites:

the beautifully sad voice of Karen.....

[song: Yesterday Once More]
