The only hit song ever recorded concerning cannibalism. It was written by Rupert Holmes who is most known for his hit "Escape (The Pina Colada Song)". One of my all-time favorites.....

Then again, maybe this is their best - tremendous, tremendous song. Bob Welch is the singer, he and Fleetwood Mac parted ways before the group went "big-time". If you recognize the voice he's the singer of "Sentimental Lady" posted above, and he wrote both songs too. Wow.

Well, judging by tee's list you guys have posted a lot of good songs already. The 70s had a large quantity of quality music, probably more than the 80s, with some truly great songs. Here's some of my favorites:

Hard part is pasting them into a post...would have to be 8 posts in a row due to the sheer amount of data! It can be done, but people would have to wait on posting when I'm ready.

a few years ago, Dolly Parton of all people covered this song. She did a bluegrass version (bluegrass covers of classic rock is one of my favorite sub-genres). With Robert Plant's blessing, she subtly changed a few of the lyrics to also turn it into a quasi-spiritual number. It won't be everyone's cup of tea, but I think it is an excellent version and well worth a listen for those interested . . . I'll link it, but I won't tag it.
