I will reiterate my belief that this game will feature the two deepest/best teams in the country.
I emphatically believe this will be the toughest regular season game of the year.
Whereas the RBC Center was legitimately 25%+ Orange, the YUM! will significantly (like 99.5%) be Red. They are deep and our kyptonite and Pitino has owned JB basically since he introduced him to one Juli Greene. We've had runs against them, had some great play at times, been up double digits in the 4th quarter in their house only to lose in 07, had a frantic comeback fall short in last year, was up at the half only to have a semi-local demigod rise to fame in one (and current Sr. leader, Homecoming King, and Notre Dame Cheerleader Awe-inspirer) in the Last FH game.
Hell, I think Greg %&*#g Robinson was the last Coach to beat a team from the river city (Even Softball right?)
That said, we are due. They can't get every bounce. I see a game much like @UConn last year where all the nutty bounces and hustle plays go our way, they can't hit a triple but 1 out of 10 times, and our shooting is lights out, the rebounds slip off their fingers, they keep making perfect bounce passes to assistant coaches or those in Orange. Everything just clicks. A game like Michgan St. in the dome a few years back or reverse DePaul 2006. It just has to happen eventually right?
I want to be there when this happens. Who among my Orange brethren is with me?
