Fine took Davis on some trips as a baby sitter. Not unusual with coaches per CTO

JB and BF do not have a social relationship (per Mike Waters)

Again, no social connections.

We had people on this board last week that spent time at Fine's house vouching for him last week. Gotlieb said it wasn't unusual for his parents to have kids stay over at their house and he wasn't reading anything into that last week. We had people on the board that said coaches with young kids often travelled with babysitters last week.

All previous knowledge gets thrown out the window this week, and JB obviously should have known? You're using hindsight to judge here. I'm guessing that people that are complete freaks get really good at deceiving people - because otherwise they'd have been caught already. And then when they get caught people wonder how those closest to them didn't know.

I work with a woman (she's in a different department than me) who's family is (or at least was) very good friends with the Fine family. She knows I'm a huge SU fan, so over the years we've chatted a little about the team etc... She told me her kids used to babysit the Fine kids & as a result got to go along to away games as a babysitter & what a wonderful experience it was for them. I know that she would NEVER have allowed her children to travel with the family if she even suspected any of the recent revelations. I think as a parent, if you have close family friends & the whole family is going on the trip, you make that leap of faith that your kids are safe with them. She has also shared a couple tidbits with me that led me to believe that Bernie & JB were absolutely not joined at the hip, close friends. Nothing earth shattering - just stuff I chalked up to JB's reputation as being tight with $$. I've been wanting to call her since the story broke & ask her about it, but I've fought the urge. It just feels too much like picking at the carcass. I'm sure she's heartbroken. I'll wait until we have other reasons to talk & maybe I'll ask her then.
