Also, in the future, the name-brand schools that have been taken in by the likes of the SEC or B1G (e.g., Nebraska, Oklahoma) will become less competitive in their new conferences. Just because they have name-brand recognition, it doesn’t mean that their schedules should be given benefit of the doubt that those schedules are more difficult.

So some want to applaud Home win against Missouri (because they hit an arbitrary number set at 25), but not a road win at Duke. In reality they are about the same thing when you equate the site of the game.

People can't seem to comprehend how much easier home games / or vice versa more difficult road games are.

I know some people really hate the Q1/Q2 stuff in basketball, but that is one thing they got 100% right, because they tried to equate value of home and road wins. Perhaps they need to do something similar in football if they are going to talk about ranked wins.

Make it uniform. Everyone plays 9+1+2+0. That will weed out teams like Indiana, Texas, Penn State. So play 9 conference, 1 OOC P4, 2 OOC G5, and 0.0 FCS.

Talking out of both sides of their mouths - wanting more balanced scheduling for all college football, but then reducing the number of teams to only 30 teams in the same breath…except not realizing that what makes all of this so exciting for most of America is the access for 100 teams to a playoff.
